About CherylCheryl has been a licensed physical therapist since 1980. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy at Ithaca College in upstate New York. Her experience includes practice in various settings including; hospital acute care and rehabilitation, sports medicine and orthopedics, industrial medicine and private practice. Work experience also includes fourteen years at Wetzler Integrative Physical Therapy with Gail Wetzler. With specialized skills in manual therapy and over 2,000 hours in advanced continuing education, she offers patients a broad variety of treatment options.
Cheryl's preferred method of treatment is to blend traditional physical therapy with osteopathic manual therapy techniques. With a holistic perspective, all parts and systems of the body are considered to identify the source of the primary problem. Patient evaluations include the musculoskeletal system, the visceral system, the nervous system, the lymphatic system, the craniosacral system, and the vascular system. Cheryl enjoys working one-on-one with patients, solving problems quickly, and being part of a healthcare team. What makes Cheryl's work unique? Cheryl's primary career as a physical therapist offers insight to many other valuable forms of treatment, which work seamlessly with traditional physical therapy. Cheryl has studied multiple hands-on therapy methods and includes these in her treatment menu. Depending on the specific needs of your body, she may suggest using one or more of these methods to bring you to a place of renewed strength, flexibility, and ultimate healing. |
